My Posts This: Topic Forum | Ok I think I have this one figured out, but thought I would bounce it around here just to see.
I am using CP 15% in my Sceadu 50 with the OS 50. I am finding after a tank of fuel what is left in the header turned dark color almost black.
Now I am thinking this is liner dust from a mis adjusted clutch/liner clearance. I am thinking the carb is injesting the dust and sending it back out through the muffler and into the fuel through the pressure tap. Sound like a correct theory?
I have hand sanded the liner down once to smooth out the high spots and take the "notchyness" out of it, and did it againg last night. The clutch seems to spin more freely now, but haven't been able to test fly it to see what it does.
I am also wondering if the clutch itself might need replaced. I doesn't seem to be worn or damaged, but the heli just doesn't seem to have a smooth running clutch.
This was the result of a hot start a few weeks ago and I installed a new liner.
Next step is to have it mic'ed and then turn the liner down to the correct clearance instead of the guessing method I am doing now.
Thanks
Jason
