I have poped so many linkages my yard probably has 50 of them, to bad they aren't fertilizer. I'm sure it is a common problem when you crash, especially on concrete (which I always tru to avoid), certainly can not ever find a lost link.
Not complaining, I ordered lots of spare links so I always have at lest 10 on hand.

I think about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something, then wonder what I'm here after ?

I installed cat5 wire on my tail so I had the original wire with no use for it. I then made a loop on both ends of a small piece and slipped it over my links. When one pops off,it is trapped from free flight. Leave a little slop on the loops and wire length so nothing is binding. Thread can also be used with CA glue.

I'm going to call them 'Link Locks'

Link Locks sounds to constrictive. How about a Link Leash?

I did have one link break on the bottom hole that was bound to the other link, but that only happened once and I did hit the garage at full bore.

I place the wire right above the swash, not above the hub guides.

Link Leash it is ?
Already made mine, yep floats right above the swash, seems to work great as it fly's with no problem. Tomorrow I'll get in a few crashes to give it the real test.

I only put the wire on one side. I suppose that if a wire were to be put on both sides, the links would stay with the main shaft after a terrible crash. I have seen pictures of this variation that were down right ugly, string wrapped around the hub. At least this mod is elegant.
