Aerobatic FAI F3C F3N Contest>Helijive120 |
| Hooch Senior Heliman | Gents,Trying out a Helijive120 V11 on my F3C Vibe90E rather than the CC. I was wondering if anybody else out there was using this ESC and what mode you were using. My intention is to try Mode 3: Manual throttle curve for Hover (approx 1650) and then Idle1/2 use Gov mode (2000rpm) for upperair. It supposedly is designed for F3C.However Mode6 sounds promising as well as it uses a smoother algorithim when at lower rpm (sounds good for hovering) and then the norm Gov for the higher rpms.I use Mode4 on all my 3D machines and Im very impressed with the Gov.Anyway gents your thoughts and or what you use.regards,CallumLOGO700 | ||

| Hooch Senior Heliman | So I'm questing nobody is using this speed controller in their F3C machine. FYI I'm using mode4 and all is good. Seems very smooth at 1650/1700 and 2000 rpm on a 8.4 ratio using the pyro 450kv engine.LOGO700 | ||

| Chris.C Veteran | I am using the same controller for my eCaliber. Have been in mode 4 and like it. Tried mode 3 but the pitch/throttle need some more time to set up.In mode 4, my throttle is at 23% but in mode 3, I need to set it way up to 40% to get the same rpm. Don't know why. | ||

| Hooch Senior Heliman | Chris,
Loving the bec as well at 5.6 volts and I have a JR 1900 4 cell Nicd as a buffer, so the ESC just tops that up while it is flying.Regards,Callum. | ||

| Chris.C Veteran | I too love this esc in the way it works and it is a reliable piece of equipment that well worth the money I paid.I have been running it in mode 4 but I like the hovering rpm be as low as at 22%. However, I am not sure if this would damage it if I keep on running it like this.Could you share what you find in mode 6?1900mAH for a buffer? Don't you think it is a bit overkill? My Jives had zero issue in the air so far hence I don't think a buffer is necessary but I still strap one for insurance. | ||
