As always had a great time and enjoyed the time spent with everybody. Seeing this is probably the last outdoor event of the season, it was glad to see everyone one last time before the cold weather sets in.

Will see some of you at the indoor meets this winter, the rest, have a great winter and see you at Spring Fling 2013 !!!!!

I had a great time too and was glad I made the drive. Attending and enjoying funflys with my sons is always a great time. To bad it was just a little too windy for my son to fly his 450. He stilled enjoyed a few mCPx flights.

Nice Day at Michigan Whirlybirds Fun Fly

Arrived to sunshine and cool breeze. Flightline filled up quickly and ended with 49 total pilots for the day. Joe Mack and the big equipment truck arrived along with the "Cook Lady", shes a keeper.
Soon the air was filled with lots of helis and spectators were arriving all day long. The BIG DOG for the day was Gene Lohgee and his turbine LAMA, wow, what a beauty. Gene gave as all a whiff and taste of jet fuel along with the whine of his turbine and thrilled us all with two very nice monster turbine flights.
Thanks to all the many suppliers,vendors and LHS donations there was a generous pilot raffle and prize giveaway. Some of the notable prizes were the COMPASS 7HV and FUSION 50 kits, a BX7200 receiver, 690 V-blades, and many manufacturer and LHS gift certificates.
A great day without much damage and great food from our favorite "cook lady". At the end of the day a group of 8 of us trekked down to the "Angry Bull" and finished off with a nice dinner before the drive home and the start of the work week. Thanks to all that organized, donated, worked and attended this fun event. 30 years in row makes for perfection.
