Hi All,

Please see the venue for the event (AMA sanction 12-1071):

http://caseco-inc.com/chopper/

PLEASE NOTE - NEW FIELD LOCATION.

Good news; we have a field; bad news; bring your chairs and pop up tents.

It's been $50.00 for years.

ALL proceeds go to a local charity.

Tim,

Is the marker on the satellite image the field, or is it that big open field on the other side of the treeline to the right of the marker?

Sounds like we will have gasoline alley going in the pits for chargers .

Hi Ben,

Yea, generators will be running!

Also, the field is that rectangle to the right of the marker.

There may be a power poll we could use but its a little walk from the prime flying area.

It's been $50.00 for years....
Last year was my first time to the Nashville contest and I was suppressed by the fee. I thought it would be good for any possible new-comers to be informed.

?

Hopefully that was an auto-correct for "surprised"? Surely don't want anyone suppressed!

I plan on being there. Timing makes it a good warm up contest for the NATS. Looking forward to seeing the new field Tim!

Tim,

What's your plans for FB & FBL?
Are you going to split between those + classes (6 AMA classes) or just Sportsman, Advanced, and Experts and fly whatever we bring?
Also how you going to do F3C guys? I might bring FBL machine for back up...

My suggestion is fly whatever machine you bring in that class. No separation between FB & FBL.

Nob,

Though I surely would have no issue with it beign that way given the way my FBL model is now flying, I don't think Tim can submit scores as an officially sanctioned event with FBL models in the tabulation because there is no provision in the rules of the official AMA classes for FBL.

Tim, can you as a CD overide standing rules and submit results with FBL models in the official results?

CD can pretty much do whatever he wants as long as it's in the sanction and advertised ahead of time. AMA only gets a list of participants and their info, not results.

I'm open to it; how do the other FAI pilots feel?

I'm guessing we can make something work; I'd like to try it myself.

I have a feeling Nob will beat me either way so I don't care

Personally it will not matter to me what is flown. Fly whatever people bring and score it together. This will show whether it really helps or hurts.

I'm in agreement with Dwight, the more the merrier! Bring a model, flybar or not and fly with us.

To be clear, the question is not about whether everyone is welcomed to fly regardless of the model type. Last year set the precedence for all models being welcome. The question is whether Tim is to score each class as one even with FBL participants. As I read what is feeding back, then it looks like Tim needn't be concerned with so-called "flybarless" classes.
