| Ghentjohn Heliman | The Cuatro gasser conversion does not include a special part for the 231 Fan Shroud. My conversion stalled at just this point. Later I saw posts on conversions that used the regular fan shroud halves, with a strip of plastic about 1/8th to 3/16ths glued or screwed between for a spacer. If you eyeball it you should see what is needed.I did not try it but it looks like it should work. Duct tape anyone? | ||

| erichevy Veteran | Hi Danniel!A friend of mine "trimmed" the cooling fins of the cylinder.It gave no cooling problems at all. He also uses fuel (as like I do) from Husquevarna.It's beena while Danniel,Greetings, Eric. | ||

| trillian Senior Heliman | gasser fan shroud Well I'm glad someone else is posting in here. Before this I think the last 5 or 6 posts were all me! I wasn't gonna post anything for a while at the risk of seeming like some kind of obsessive geek I only have one Robbe gasser and I think it's a G23. It is able to use the regular Futura fan shroud but the 231 has bigger fins.One thought is that a bigger fan would be good as well, get as much air blowing through there as possible. The Milli 2 fans are a bit bigger, like 90mm vs 80mm. I recently had something loose on my Dyna-X and it was vibrating around the fan shroud and I put my hand under there for the first time and was amazed how much air it's kicking out just at an idle. (this is with an OS91SZ nitro engine).I have my Predator gasser all apart at the moment so I could see if the fan shroud fits over the Robbe fan and try to get an idea what it would take to mount it in a Futura frame. | ||

| Markus Senior Heliman | Ok, here it is:I was not satisfied with the cooling on my Cuatro with Hanson 231I have now a JR cooling fan and housing installed of the JR260. Large diameter of fan resulting in high speed of airflow and very large fan housing that has a perfect fit around the cylinder head should give ample cooling. It takes a bid of work to adapt the hub, but if you have access to a small lathe, its not realy a problem.Part numbers as follows JR61469 HUB JR61467 FAN (I think has about 105mm diameter) JR61468 SHROUD Ordered direct from Japan and had parts within 1 weekI will post pictures tonight is so desired.I try to include pictures of my electro Cuatro with Hacker 530 as well.MarkusPS: I have a 3rd. Cuatro modified to fit the Hanson RC270, so there I have no cooling issues... | ||
