My Posts This: Topic Forum | OK here's what I have, CSM version 9.3 and a JR galaxy 8 radio. I don't know how to set everything up. When I installed my radio in the CSM sim, I was directed to use 0-50-100 settings on my radio for I think end point adjustment and throttle curve. I would prefer to do all adjustments on my radio rather than on the simulator if possible, so I will knoe how to program it if I ever learn to fly . Right now I can keep the heli confined to a 10' radius, and land successfully when it starts trying to get away, so I can try it again. I dunno what all the functions are even for, which makes programming hard. Here is what the manual lists as the functions of the radio:
= I know!
= I kinda know, but a clear definition would be great
= I'm lost
Radio functions
reverse sw
travel adjustment
dual rate
exponential
sub trim
hold sw positive
thro curve
revo gain
acc gain
mode select
model select
inverted sw
pitch curve(for 4 separate functions)
The others are pcm/ppm and various timers,
On the sim for heli setup I have this:
High gyro gain
Low gyro gain , I know what the gyro does, and think the high/low has to do with the gain at those throttle positions, so I'm still kinda lost.
Roll cyclic paddle throw
fore/aft cyclic paddle throw
midstick tail pitch
tail pitch throw
collective at 100% servo travel
collective at 50% servo travel
collective at 0% servo travel
I think that means how much throttle you are giving it at those points on the servo travel but am unsure.
Gyro response time
Servo response time
I know what these are, but have no idea of what they should be set at.
If anyone has or knows of a nice site that shows you how to program a radio, especially for use with a sim so I can figure this out that would be great. A site with littIe before and after piccy's showing what basically changes with each setting would be very helpful, as well as knowing what settings on the sim and radio would be good to use as a starting point. I would much prefer to set the sim adjustments to where I use the radio programming for everything possible. |
