Is the store worth a stop? They usually have a great inventory at FFs.

If you are in the area it's worth stopping by. Some hard to find stuff along with well stocked shelves of everyday items. The prices are retail and you'll pay tax but how could you drive by a 'heli only' shop without stopping?

^^+1 Soo true!

If I had a heli only shop and "had" to drive by it every day to and from work...I would be on their payroll! LoL

MTA has some stuff worth looking at and if you can drive by the fully stocked retail store, I don;t know how you don't go in...every day.

And just to sweeten the pot, just a few miles south on the 405 freeway at Westminster Blvd. is R/C Depot. Another excellent all heli hobby shop. They are maybe 20 miles apart.

I don't envy you Californians for much but I do for your heli shops. We have NOTHING like that in the Cincinnati, Ohio area.

Don't envy us too much, I live in CA and am 3 hours drive from any hobby shop. Also, I'd rather cut my own wrists than drive down the 405. Year round flying is good though.

Give Rosie a call few days before; if she does not have what you need or want she will find it over night !
Besides, the stores is full of stuff, you will not regret it !

No small shop has more high-end components than RC Depot. Although not more than about 1200 sq ft or so, if you want to pick up top-of-the-line electronics from Kontronik on down RC Depot has it in stock. They carry most major brands and their focus is large helicopters. If you are having a problem with your heli, RC Depot will gladly help you source the problem and not expect you to buy anything from them. Great guys, cutting edge technology, my regular shop.

If you're on the 405, do you take the Western exit?

For MTA? MTA is between Crenshaw and Western on Torrance Bl. Take either street south to Torrance Bl.

RC Depot is just east of the 405 on Westminster Bl, North side of the street. Kinda across the street from the In-in-out.

Yeah MTA. I drove down the 405 today and the GPS seemed to show Western the easier way, but I figure a local tip is best. Been to RC Depot many times. I figured they were Vietnamese and so I asked for directions for a good Vietnamese restuarant. Man they hooked me up with some great food too...
