Who has had this?

This is one of the most painful things that I have ever had breaking my hand and two bones in my foot (not at the same time) did not hurt like this.

What has helped git rid of it? I have found that cherry juice works but you have to drink alot of it.

I prefer natural cures rather than doctor pushed drugs.

Whenever I see or hear the word "gout" I immediately think of this song.

In my case diet and exercise. I also have some pills (Indomethacin) the Dr gave me. When I feel a flair up coming I take one of those pills right away!! I have not had a major flair up in over a year... First flair up I got I went to the Dr. because I did not know I had gout and thought I had somehow broken or ripped all of the ligimits out of my big toe...

It's hard to explain to someone who does not have gout how much it hurts. Just the thought of putting socks on during a flair up sends chills down my spine!!

Some people claim its more painful than child birth??

I feel for you!!

Kirk

Got the cherry extract pills from GNC two or three years ago they work and I drink as much cherry juice as I can stand when I feel a flare inbound.

As for what the pain is like you can't even begin to understand how bad it is unless you have had it I have had it so bad even the fan in the room blowing across my foot made me want to cut it off.

Hay spud never had a kidney stone but they sound just as bad as gout.

I'm probably not going to be much of a help, but I remember back in the late 90's when my mom had it in her elbow, and what brought her relief was alternating heat and ice, and I know she was on a medication, but it was so long ago that I can't remember the name. Plus, she used one of those workout bands that she used like a weak dumbbell and just tried to work it out for about 2 minutes every hour, or as long as she could deal with it. I was still fairly young when she had it, and I specifically remember her saying "Feel my arm," and I could feel so much heat radiating from her elbow that it blew my mind that a body could have that much warmth come from it.

The cherry juice works but you need to be on top of it if you even feel a tingle in your foot start drinking.

I am looking for other natural cures I don't like doctors or man made drugs.

Ya gout pain ranks right up there with shooting yourself in the foot with a large handgun or getting caught in a floor auger.

Going to have to try the apple cider vinegar next time seems to give faster relief than cherry juice.

They also talk about using baking soda have to use that in very small amounts as it can aggravate high blood psi

About 2 times a year I get a gout flare-up in the joint behind my little toe. I have thought about shooting it with a large handgun. No joint, no gout.

Ask your doctor if your heart is healthy enough for Radio Control Helicoptering.
