my first Buy from Boca,
as of now I'm not upset, I got to see what they will do for me, but I am wondering if anyone has had this type of problem with Boca ??

some people would call this the "Bait and Swap" thing, and I know a lot of you buy from Boca, and that is why I went with them, I had no reason to think they would send cheaper Bearings,,

the problem is that they sent me cheaper Bearings than what their Photos show, they had 3 photos on this page of the Bearing I wanted, the Photos show a Quality Bearigs yet I recieve cheaper C-Clip type Bearings,,

has anyone had this type of problem with Boca ??????

bearings

been using them for years, never a problem. Some times the type of bearing you want can be confusing, when you go to there size charts there are usually five or six types of seals, several rpm and load ratiings, usually five or six specs (tollerances) for differant applications, usually at least three types of material there made from, flanged or non-flanged, and some are C-clip retained. Sure what you ordered wasn't what you got? If you didn't get what you ordered I'm sure they will make it good.

""If you didn't get what you ordered I'm sure they will make it good""

returning these Bearings and getting better Bearings AND having to Pay "more" will not make it good !!

thay need to make it "Right"

they show 3 Photos of a Better Bearing with a Price, I was charged that Price yet they sent me Cheaper Bearings,, if they send me the Better Bearings for the Price I paid then THAT will make it "Right"

now that I have gone back to the site I see that they use the same Photo for different quality Bearings, 3 Bearings, same type, 3 different qualitys, this is where they are wrong, they should NOT show the Photo of the higher quality Bearing for the Cheaper C-Clip Bearing

like I said some people would call this Bait and Swap

Boca's done nothing but right by me. We buy lot's of bearing from them. I noticed right away the web site uses what I call "generic" bearing pictures throughout. I always buy by the bearing specs.

Your fun starts here!

what did the description for the bearings say? Was the description different from the picture? It seems as though they may be using a "file photo" for the bearings which caused some confusion.
like I said some people would call this Bait and Swap
I've done that before. I've purchased something based on the picture without actually reading the description carefully. I don't think it's bait and swap. I think it's simply cause of lack of attention to detial. When it's happened to me, I just chalk it up in the loss column. I've been fortunate that it's never cost me a lot of money.

Now, will the bearings work for your application or not?

I don't think it's fair to bash Boca for using a "file photo" as it's a pretty common practice.

I've never been dissapointed with any of my dealings with Boca.

A) I'm not bashing, I'm telling my story and asking questions,

B) the Specs say nothing about the Shipped Idem being a Clip Bearing, (unlike the Photo that shows a better Bearing)

C) it's about the Principle, I read the Specs, and I saw the Photo, I wanted and expected a better Bearing, I expected the Bearing they show in the Photo, but I recieved a Cheaper Product,

D) to add> there was NO note informing that the Photo was a File Photo of a Higher Quality Bearing,

C) all this IS on Boca, not me !

E) yes I can use the Bearings, but that Is Not the point..

Was there a disclaimer that the picture was not the item, just for reference. Do you have a link to the picture and page you purchased from? If they are just using a standard pic because a reasonable person would see that taking thousands of pictures for many different sizes and specs would be ridiculous since many of them would look identical, then I think they are of no fault. I would like to see the page you bought from though.

If this is the type of customer you are, I would hate to see you when you eat at a restaurant that you looked at a menu to help decide. I have never received an order from a restaurant that looked anything like the picture.

As long as it meets the specs you purchased for, I think they are in the clear and you just want a more expensive product for nothing. They are an outstanding company and have ordered from them for years. My benefit of doubt is with them.

again,,

if the Specs said they were Clip Bearings I would not have bought them !!

""Was there a disclaimer that the picture was not the item""

D) to add> there was NO note informing that the Photo was a File Photo of a Higher Quality Bearing,

Victor,, I can understand why they use a Filed Photo, but,,,

A) there are many Companies out there that sell many many thousands more products than Boca that I have bought from that don't use File Photos,, so to say that you did is just a Scapegoat

B) it was the first time I ordered from them and I had NO raison to think that it was a File Photo

AGAIN, if Boca had the information on their site stating these Bearings were Clip Bearings I would have ordered better Bearings, that is not on me

Call Boca. Give them a chance to make it right. If they don't, come back and slag the hell out of them.
