That would probably be a good plane, if you put carbon landing gear on it and beefed up a few areas - like most cheap ARFs. I like the U-Can-Do-3D design in general.

I think China has crossed the line BIG time,I think the world needs to stand up against them. They abid by no laws and patients. They can't make it them selfs so they copy everything. We will stay number one. Think hard about what i said.

What would you patent? There isn't anything that can be patented in 99.999% of model airplanes.

There is such things as a design patent. It is more like a copyright. But, those can also be easily be manipulated if there is enough money to be made.

I do a lot of work (as a US manufacturer) bypassing patents and invalidating patents. It is as simple as (sometimes) looking up a dictionary to invalidate someone's patent(s). But, I do work with a patent attorney everyday to do those tasks.

That is almost always how things work.

But, considering that the original and the copy were both done in China. The line gets blurred as to who to support.
