splitboarder,

Do you own the PS1 2XPT FMTS? If so, how do you like it?

Yeah I do. And, I like it. However, I have ben in a build /rebuild state for so long and chasing vibes I dont consider myself an AP person. I have all the equipment, just have spent too long trying to get perfection. I had a 2xpt on a 600 strech to 700. I then went to a Joker2 and now a trex 700. First helicopmmand and now DJI.
I also ahve bought a Triax mount , downlink yada yada but..only a few pics and about 10 seconds of useable vido so far.

im getting there, just slow as the turtle.

But, with that I have been playing with a lot of this stuff for a while now

Very cool.

Chasing vibes?...never ending story.

I am very interested in the DJI AceOne. I looked into Waypoint, but in reading the literature, I understand that is not the way to go for me. (catch my drift)

Are you having vibration problems in your photos or videos?

Video, but that was a while ago. Hopefully I will be retesting before the end of the month.

Seems the hitters on AP are DJI, Profi, AirFoil, PS1, Photohigher, and Triax. Each business has their own unique designs and I have heard nothing but positives. I am pleased there are companies as mentioned above that help service the equipment, and have customer service.

have customer service.
Some do . Some of these vendors will answer a question via email within hours or a day or two.

Others---- will rely on other AP users and pilots . I would say that is my biggest headace with buying big ticket AP items. I dont know about you but if Im spending more than 500 dollars or so I would expect a timely answer ( reasonable of course, wihin a day or two)

But there are some vendors in the above list whos service is very lacking , it seems as there reps in the us would rather spend time on forums rather than checking email and answering specific customer generated questions.

If it were my product they would no longer be my rep

How much does it weigh fully loaded?

What rpm do you fly?

How long is your flight time?

Before AP setup the weight was 12 lbs. I weighted the equipment and comes to 3 1/2 4 lbs, so a combined weight of around 16 lbs. I have not weighed the entire unit as a whole. As far as RPM's, I had it at 1600 before equipment. It ran very nice, but after equipment, I set the CC GOV. at 1700. I tried it at 1600 and that did not seem effecient. I am being safe with flight time as I am cutting engine at 6 minutes. I am sure I could go more, but not risking it.

Thanks for the your question todski!

NOTE: If anyone has any suggestions or opinions I am open! Anyone can learn more at any stage and I have a open mind to any AP assistance.

I can send you a T-Rex 700e right now! It has the cyclic DS610 servos, DS650 on the tail, CC 80HV, 700M motor. This is not an AP machine yet, but makes for a GREAT AP platform. I am open to reasonable offers. Just let me know. Check my feedback!

Contact AirFoil for an underslung. Contact PhotoshipOne for front mount tube system.

Once anyone installs an autonomous system to use waypoints you are into UAV territory and under FAA rules, even if you stay line of sight. (and No longer covered by AMA insurance or guidance either)

But you already knew that...

Santiago,

Yes I know that. That is why I wrote (catch my drift). I do not fly WayPoint or FPV. Always have a direct line of sight, no obstructions. Its always better to follow the rules and guidlines.

I am about to buy a trex 700E, i dind not know that FB is better them FBL?

i want to do the same set up you did, now dont know what should i buy

Can some one explain the difference between FB AND FBL?

FB=Flybar. Standard heli that uses the mechanical flybar for stabilization.

FBL=Flybarless. The mechanical flybar and necessary links are removed from the equation and an electronic flybarless device is used for stabilization instead.

The benefits drawbacks are mixed. Most pros will say that a mechanical flybar offers better stability than a flybarless setup and that flybarless is more for 3D type of flying. However, removal of the mechanical flybar creates a more efficient disc and possibly longer flight times and some have said less ballooning in wind. I have seen some FBL AP setups that appear to be pretty stable as long as they have a good quality FC.
