Looks good, I did not like FBL blades on my HB700 (Radix and Edge), it dragged the engine down too much and had a heavy feel to the cyclic. The Rotortech 693's lightened up the cyclic, feels like it has more power and shows no degradation in stability. I am now running a set of Align 690 D's that are almost as light as the Rotortech's, need to do a back to back comparison, they seem close to the Rotortechs and can be found for cheap in the classifieds.

I want a Whiplash G, all I need is $$$$, starting to collect parts now for it.

I did Not exspect to see any one else useing the Spektrum H6040s servo on thier bird.
I have been using them for a year in my 600 and they are Rock Solid,smooth and center GREAT. Damn good specs for an $80. buck servo.

I am going to take the pull start off my HPI Baja 5T today and weight it if it saves enough weight I will put an aluminum cover plate in place of the pull start and top start the Whiplash gasser.

I already have the Fromeco pieces and will be locating all of the others ASAP.

To the OP those H6040s are a great find thats alot of servo for the $$ thank you for pointing them out to me.

I have not pre paid for a Whip Nitro FBL ,but that is what i am gonna build as soon as they are available. I talked to someone at Minm. Air yesturday and they said that their goal was to try and get a few kits out by the end of "this" week to some of their test pilots/customers so that they could get some feed back on the kits,manuals etc. and that mayby within a month be available to the general public.!!! Sure has been a long waiting period since the original anouncement for the whiplash? But when i do build it gonna go with either the OS 105 or YS120 ,the Spectrum AR2000bx flybarless set up and not sure on survo choice yet as i am using a DX7 Radio,from what I am told I will also have to wait on the Spectrum Reviever and OS motor for a month ,not available yet? So I'll shut up and wait for now

After reading Mikes response on the thread "whiplash watch 2012", it sounds like it is going to be awhile aka months.

Who knows what type of new equipment will be available in March.

Nothing like putting yesterday's technology in a new machine.

I have been flying the spektrum h6040 and the h6080 in my spectra g flybarless with great success all summer long.....

I dont think they are rebranded savox, where did that information come from?? if they are, I will buy the savox next time, as these spektrum's Rock!!!

I had some at a hobby shop tell me the same thing. Savox and spectrum servos are the same.

I'm using savox 1251MG in my whiplash nitro now and there working great! And yes savox makes the servos for spektrum

Sad to say, the align starter doesn't turn the 120 Very well at all Especially cold. I have picked up the mavrikk 50 starter, 5s 3300, mavrikk one-way starter wand and it cranks it fast. A very affordable option.

Run the #5 and the 690's. You will like that combo.
