Hey guys, I was flying my 700E yesterday and was doing a nose down spiral and had quite a bit of speed. I pulled the nose up pretty quickly and then the heli went boom! The blades just stopped and I saw some debris falling from it. I saw something falling that looked like it had a several foot long streamer attached to it. I got to the streamer part first and it was a battery that had went through the blades! There wasn't anything left of it to explode. The heli went into the woods but there was very little damage. One of the blades, a crack in the frame, canopy, and a tail blade. On inspection, the Align battery straps holding both batteries in had a clean break through them. I'm sure I have pulled out harder but I guess I just did it one too many times. This is what was left of the battery. I never did find the other one.

Wow! That battery was destroyed. Never heard of straps breaking. Just another item to check before flight.

Yeah and I didn't even get a decent fire out of it. The blades stopped dead when they hit the battery. I thought I had a boom strike or something at first.

That precisely, is why I voted for and use the strapping tape to hold the packs which are mounted on the velcro and aluminum mount. I would sure hate to see something like your experience happen.
