A little more geared toward zero heli knowledge folks but it was worth it

I guess it's alright to keep good stuff to your own not to share with others who doesn't know a jack sh!t of helicopter? Sorry Man! I just do not condone that type of attitude. Its nice to be able to share with all and have fun rather than hoarding great info for your own self indulgement.

And I learned a little from it too. I didn't know real helis could go negative pitch and fly upside down (very few can do this) and I had always heard there was a theoretical maximum speed of two hundred something knots due to physics. Retreating blade stall. How did they overcome that to go FIVE HUNDRED KNOTS on some models?

heli - gal

Hate to date myself but the first computer I owned was a Radioshack Model III. Had a Ti99a as well. Before both of those I used punch cards in High school.

Did ya'll catch the name of the heavy lifter heli?

Garland that was K-Max american built. with the unique rotor head system. I think the whole rotorhead transmission is one unit, could be well fixed pitch. (I could be wrong, looks that way) I had never seen anyone with an RC version yet. That would be a sight to see..

Jklee.. fA chopper is born. , I don't have the video though

Thanks mvh and charly

EX Army Aviation Corp

Ooops too late

In my younger days I was in the Australian Army Aviation Corp as a lowly ground handler and got to do a lot of flying around in Kiowas and Black Hawks.. Very cool stuff. Then for some reason I transfered to the Royal Australian Air Force and got myself qualified as an Avionics Technician. Boy I missed flying around in helis. Recently the Army announced that it was purchasing the Euro Tiger attack chopper. Bummer, I guess the Apache was too expensive for us
