Got a package in the mail today. Last week I sent Mario (MIA Micro Flight) one of my unbuilt H'Bird chassis and today I got this really sweet G10 custom chassis ready for my components to be mounted integrated with my H'bird's backbone.

The design is really high in utility value with multiple options for mounting receiver/gyro/batteries/etc. One of the most outstanding features is the unique material the the LG struts are made from. Ther can be fully compressed and they spring right back to the original shape every time. Hard landings and crashes will not hurt these puppies. I suspect that you may have to drive over them in your SUV to do them harm.

I also like the shape of the gear legs as they remind me of the Voyager-E gear on my old Corona and will look great on a card Cobra or my Blue Thunder micro models.

I'm off to buy the Hornet version next. I let you know how it looks and works out

It is so weird that you posted the pics today, because lately me and some friends have been getting together on Friday nights at my shop and flying Micro's in my big garage area. We did it last night, and usually we talk about Micro's also. Last night I said I thought someone should come out with a landing-gear set-up that looks like the Voyager E. for the Micro's!

That set-up you have looks just like the Voy E! Please let us know how you like it and if it add's much weight. Thats going to make for a super sweet Micro!

Hummingbird Frame retrofit Kit:

- G10 Frame
- Hardware
- Tuff Molded Struts (Set 2)
- Tuff molded skids (set 2)
- Instructions

They should be at several on-line shops next week for just under $30.00 according to MIA Micro-Flight

WoW is right! Fantastic design and a very tidy component install. Looks good hoverup! After my unfortunate run in with the ground last night I need something that will better protect my components. And this set up looks nice.

the mia housefly:(

I purchased the house fly a while back and never got it off the ground
it spooled up nice the tail diled right in with my Gyro and as soon as it started to get light on its feet several of the ball links broke so I ordered another set and got it ready for test flight 2 and the same thing the ball links broke that was a major waste of about 150.00 bucks dont plan on ever getting it in the air its just sitting on the shelf stripped down collecting dust....

Well I know the 2 items I've had from Mia, have been top-notch! The 500 Canopy was very nice, and the Retro-fit landing gear I had for my Piccolo was second to none! I think alot of people have a problem with Micro Heli's sometimes, and its really Builder/Pilot error!

Well I see Hoverup is very happy with his purchase. I too have gotten a few bits from MIA and the retrofit gear i put on my heli survived numerous crashes just like it was advertised to do. I have no experience with his finer injection molded stuff. But I will keep KL's advisement in mind should I ever want to purchase a MIA heli. That is what these boards are about ....right? Funy thing is you dont have to rant about your problems. Just a few well thought out cons to a product are often all it takes to get people talking. And usually constitutes change in manufacturers products.
