Hi Mark

I have uploaded a few photos and intend on sending in a few more eventually.
When i click on 'My Gallery' all is fine
But when i look in 'Galleries' i dont see my photos anywhere?
Is this normal or have i done something wrong?

The Main gallery has 1311 editors picks out of a total 2889 member galleries. Yours has not been picked (sorry).

Photo proportions

Mark,

The photos I upload are proportioned 1:1.33 (2848x2136), when they get processed some stay this proportion (1000x750) and have grey areas on left and right in the gallery thumbnails to 'pad' the photo out, while some others are processed to give a 1:1.5 (1000x667) proportion. I can't see any trimming taking place, can you clarify what you actually do to these photos - do you trim them or change the proportions?

And what should I do if I want to appear in a 1:1.5 proportion - if I resize them before uploading as 1000x667, will your processing essentially be a null action? (that would make uploading considerably quicker too!)

RR regularly trims for thumbnail appeal.
Thumbnails are 150x100 (reason for the 3x2 crop-trim).
RR re-sizes photos down to a 1000x1000 target pixel size and adjusts quality to get file size down to around 100K (250 max).

RR has hand processed over 100,000 uploaded photos.

Ah got it - you sometimes crop trim the top/bottom, that gives the 3:2 aspect ratio. I can now see where this is done esp on photos where the subject is wide.

Can't get to my script

Mark,

I messed my gallery up when I added a tag into it. Now I can't get my gallery to show anything. All I get is my background pic. I can't even get my script to show back up. Please Help!!! I appreciate all that you do with this site. Keep up the great work.
