Sounds like we are on the same page. I will keep the bls251 unless the 256HV on 6V surpasses it.

Let us know how they go.

Even if everything else proves fairly equal, the one area the BLS256HV will likely surpass the BLS251 is on current consumption at higher voltage. This is absolutely the case with the BLS255HV versus a BLS252 or 253 on HV. In the design of the HV servos, Futaba has spec'd motors with more efficient energy conversion on HV versus the non HV products run on HV.

I saw a BLS251HV prototype in action, I can't imagine it being to much longer. Can't wait to finally dump my regs!

the Outrage tail servos are great. I have a few plus some MKS tail servos(MKS makes the Outrage servos btw). Great performance and last a long time too.

You are too impatient mate .

The 1st shipment has been sold to resellers in Oz this week.
You would have been able to get them from about 5 different places.

I have a question on how do you wire a hv tail servo?

how do you mean?
You plug it into your regular gyro, and run straight 2s lipo.
Thats providing your other servos are HV too.

Then what gyro(s) runs 7.2v and higher?
I noticed the specs on the Futaba 520 it only goes up to 6volts
But on the Spartan 760 it will operate to 8 volts.
So on the 7100r receiver where to you plug the gyro servo to to get the straight 7.2 volts going to the tail servo?

My vote for the Outrage Torq high voltage tail servo, best tail servo I have ever had the privilege of using.

Did a few flights last weekend, initial thoughts it seems the same as BLS251 on 6V regulated.

I tried higher gain, it would wag so left the settings back to where they were.

Will see how they go this weekend once i get more flights on them
