| jans Senior Heliman | Hello,Is a Scorpion 4035 560kv too much for a 12s E Aurora?Thanks,Jans | ||

| laughingstill rrProfessor | Nope, I had an Xera 4035-560 in mine and a Jive 120+HVLogo 600 VBAR, and Mikado XXtreme!!!! | ||

| Kanglou Senior Heliman | I think the 4035-500 kW motor is more a 12s motor.And 560 kW is 10s motor.But it seams to work any way. | ||

| Jag72 rrProfessor | 4035-- Between the 2 the 560kv makes more power on 12s ..I used to run a few 500kv's..then switched them to 560's..I think the best compromise for a 12s 90 machine is the 4035/530kv though...that's what I am trying in my newest trex 700E.haven't flown it yet..but i'm sure it's a powerhouse | ||

| bob00 Veteran | 4035 + 10T gearing + CC ICE 120 @ approx. 2050 - 2100 ESC governed w/ 14deg pitch...The 560 makes a lot of power but is a bit outside the optimal range of the ESC if governed, sometimes resulted in odd vibrations - frame stiffeners may have fixed this. If you fly hard and keep the motor loaded you may like it - some guys fly this motor with amazing results.The 530 is very powerful and runs smooth - in the sweet-spot for the ESC. Significantly better in this RPM range than the 500 - this was a sweet combo.(the old HK series 530 was 'coggy' when turned by hand, almost like something's wrong with it but that's just the way they were - very smooth running motor).The 500 was ok, but not much headroom for really good GOV operation will prob work much better with an 11T pinion - don't know for sure, haven't tried the new pinion yet. - Rob | ||

| Kanglou Senior Heliman | I run 500kw whit jive 80hv and i have set My trottel curv straight at 82% and get 2000 in Hs whit 10t pinion.Thats perfect headroom for the jive and i can get up a littel more if i wan't more Hs.So maby it depends witch esc you got and hs you want witch motor you should select or???Daniel. | ||

| Chris Bergen Elite Veteran | Interesting you guys would mention this (Bob00 and Jag). I just flew a customers bird with the Scorpion 4035-530 and I was VERY impressed.Also setup with a jive 120, at 80% throttle, HS at 2100. 12 degrees of pitch and even I couldn't bog the darn thing!! (poor collective management skills... )Chris D. Bergen | ||

| remotemadness Senior Heliman | Hi,I'm in the process of picking a Motor and esc for the Aurora E..So it seems the new HKIII 4035-530 should be the choice?What would be a mid budget ESC to go with this to get a decent HS for the Aurora E..I'm not a hard core 3D person.. but would like a machine that could do a decent 3D for me to progress to..CheersQ | ||

| yannick Senior Heliman | i have just changed my 500 for a 560 Kv.I have been flying my E aurora for a while with the scorpion 4035 500 (as recomended). the power was there but I was not very happy as it was pretty limited in revs (2000 max). I wanted 2050 with some head room. I changed for a 4035 560. The difference in unbelievable, much more power and revs consistency. the efficency is still very good as i put back only about 2600 mah after 5.30 min flights in the 12s 5100 voltz at the first flights, I put my timer to 6.30 min and put back about 3400 mah.If you hesitate between the 500 and 560 Kv, I advise to go for the 560.I ame using CC ICE 120..Is it me or this time the ground was higher than last time?? | ||

| reverend_john Senior Heliman | I use a 4035 630 motor with a 12s system. I know is not what people would do but I fly it at 2050rpm with a 85% on ecu. The heli has power on my crazy tic toc and I flown the heli about 20 time with no problem at all.if I am not flying heli I am playing Golf | ||

| MrNiceGuy Veteran | I run A Pyro 700-45 in my T-rex 700E conversion and it has a more power than the 4035-560 that it replaced. Not a ton more but it is noticeable. It also seems to be more efficient. I don't know about the 520 though.Yesterday is History, Tomorrow is a Mystery, Today is a GIFT | ||

| Jason Bell Elite Veteran | I have ran both the 4035-560kv and the 4525-520 LE with a Ice HV80.With my flying style the 4525-520 LE is getting slightly longer flight times than the 560kv was. I am putting in roughly 36-3800 mah into 5000mah packs after a hard 4 minute flight. I am peaking 7000w at 160-170A through the Ice 80HV.If you are flying in a warm climate during summer, I would recommend picking up the 120HV over the 80 to allow some headroom temperature wise.The optimal motor seems to be the 4035-530kv V3. Although the new 11T pinions that just got released should work extremely well with the 500kv motor.JasonAvant RC | ||

| jans Senior Heliman | How about a 450kv with a 12t pinion?Jans | ||

| Jason Bell Elite Veteran | 450-470kv should work well with a 12T pinion, which is also available here.Avant RC | ||

| remotemadness Senior Heliman | Will the stock pinion work with the HK-4035-560 or should I get another pinion that works better..
I tried contacting my local scorpion supplier for the new HKIII-4035-530.. But was told that it takes ages for scorpion to respond.. can take up to 3 months before you get your motor????...any place to recommend that I don't have to wait 3 months...
