Hello All

I have a CCPM Eco 8 setup for 3D which is pretty much what people did with their Eco's...made them as good as they could so they could have more fun with them.

Well I got board and wanted to see what the heck this mixer thing could do so I build another Eco with the mixer. The darn thing actually works! Its sloppy and the controls feel a tad more mushy but it definitely does what it needs to...problem is the manual doesn't explain how to set it up very well...lucally for me I know what needs to happen.

Yeah, nice to see it actually work, I remember locking the mixer with screws and CA and flying it as a "fixed pitch" heli, the mixer seemed complicated and I was impatient I didn't even know that a heli could go inverted at the time so why bother with collective pitch But anywho, nice trip down memory lane. I would probably rebuild mine if I didn't throw it in a dumpster Can you still get parts for the Eco 8 ?

Parts are still available in Germany and FXAeromodels here in the USA.

Wow Carlo, I didn't know you got the whole mechanical mixer to work and all. Very cool! Did you get a video of it in flight?

My blinged Eco-8 had not flown in at least 2 or 3 years. So last weekend I dusted it off, fixed it up and got it flying again. I put another couple of flights in today. It feels light but it's still a nice flying heli. I'm using some old 3S 3850 Extreme V2 packs and easily got 7 minutes of sport flying with at least a minute of flight to spare. This is what the Eco was best at, duration. I'm actually getting it ready to sell, but I've been down this road before and just couldn't do it in the end (my very first heli as well!). We'll see.
