Kyosho Caliber/Quest Neo-Caliber series>Kyosho heli's & parts |
| slickporsche Senior Heliman | The good news is if you need parts for Kyosho helis, you can get them here.http://www.quest-co.jp/ This is the new Manufacturer for the Kyosho 30, and 90. I do not know about the Caliber 5&6. I have been in contact with them and seems like a good company. They are sometimes a little slow to answer, but they will answer. | ||

| blvdbuzzard Senior Heliman | I have been looking around.I am able to read a little of it. I have been going back and forth between google and the site to translate. For some un-known reason, I have always liked the Caliber 30. Not sure why, but I wanted it soooooo bad back in the day. Yet when I found Kyosho was not going to support it, I never bought one.Buzz. | ||

| Smok Senior Heliman | That previous post of mine was made some time ago..Now it's official that Quest Japan continues with the Caliber helicopter line. Time will tell if they will be successful ( and if they will survive ).They might be focusing on the Japan market first, their website is only in Japanese so far ( but Google translate is your friend ):http://www.quest-co.jp/rc/index.html...on the other hand the climate for (premium) hobby manufacturers is not so great these days - and since the tsunami hit - it might be even more difficult on the Japan's domestic market. They seem have refreshed the Caliber line - so it has some good stuff from Kyosho times - belt driven transmission, pull-pull tail control, vibration-absorbing carbon-plastic frame etc.. - but now with lightened motor support and canopy, changed gearing, updated eCCPM linkage - and also they released FBL heli versions. For the E-powered helis they use the same clip-in bottom-inserted battery pack as it was designed for the FunTech Staysee fuselage for the E-Caliber 90.As for parts' prices - the bill for the parts tends to stay smaller- if you try to crash less often ;-) | ||

| baby uh1 Veteran | That's why I don't take too many chances with the Caliber. I just enjoy economical crusing with it and an OS32. i have toyed with the idea of converting it to e power though. We have nothing to fear but fear it''''s self! Oh and the ground and trees and b | ||

| spacecopter Senior Heliman | I contacted the company Quest about my concern about parts support. And here is, what they said(it's just a part of the e-mail conversation)Thank you very much for your email. You do not need the worry of the spare part supply. Because all parts are made at the own factory. Sincerely, Quest co.,LTD Hiroyuki Kambe669 NAKAMATU OBUSE-MACHI KAMITAKAI-GUN NAGANO-PREF..,JAPAN . .. No sponsoring - I pay for what I fly | ||

| cyberquest_11 Heliman | I just learned of this company and visited their site using Google translate. I've contacted them thru email and they responded immediately as to the part number I was looking for. (thus, looking on the manual to make an inventory list of those parts.) They seem to be true to their objective of continuing parts support especially when they revived the Caliber 30-60 lines (with FBL setup)I'm really glad I can restore my good ole kyosho caliber 30! especially the flybarless set up (using either BeastX or V-Bar).Thanks to Quest Japan! | ||

| cyberquest_11 Heliman | @vortechZ230you can order from them but as per our correspondence (thru email with their sales@quest.xxx.xx), you need to have an agent in Japan.luckily I have a friend who works in a Japanese plant and is also into rc hobby (not with rc helicopters but nitro cars...)so if you have an agent in Japan, you can order from quest. or you may go the route as spacecopter mentioned above | ||
