I've always wnated to buy one of these helis and never thought I would fork over that kinda cash, but i'm seriously thinking on buying one. Do they still make these kits, and, wonder what one would cost to complete, from the ground up? Havent seen an engine for one of these for sale anywhere, . Guess I'm curious as just what the possibilities of finding one reasonable in the US ?

They still are floating around the US, but you will see a few on here a few times a year for sale USED. They don't make them anymore, but he still produces the parts. I am not sure how much longer he plans on producing them for. I know once he discontinues a model he will support them for at least 10 years and not sure how long ago the NT was discontinued.

Mr. Henseleit makes his helicopters in his shop, himself with maybe a small staff. Historically, he has only actively supported one heli at a time.

The current model is the TDR. If you want one, regardless of your location, you email him to be put on a list. Currently the backlog is +/- 9 months. Also note that he only accepts bank wire transfer as payment. So, budget for spares accordingly.

Anything else (3DNT, 3DMP, etc.) will be used or NOS sitting around in a warehouse or on someone's shelf.

Ok and how about the rocket? where are they hiding?

The Rocket is almost indistinguishable from the 3D-NT. Although I haven’t seen the mechanics of the heli, I’m guessing that those were nearly identical to that of the oldest 3D-NT version.

I can’t imagine anyone having any new/unbuilt Rockets! What would be the point anyway? It’s basically an even more outdated 3D-NT!

I think Ive seen a Rocket picture years ago and its different from the 3dnt. it was designed more speed if I remem. I like old rare interesting helis

Just found a 3DNT CF boom in my parts bin. New. Just thought I'd mention it if anyone needs one.
