My Posts This: Topic  Forum		I have a new Hanson G23 that has been waiting to go into my Futura SE project.

Any comment about the Hanson engine Vs, the new G231 engine? The Hanson was a considerable improvement over the 23, just wondering what they did with the 231 over the 23 and how it now compares with my hopped up motor.

What RPM does the 231 run at? And hp at running speed?

I understand the Hanson is some 3.x hp at 14000 rpm.

I have a Hanson g23 in an xcell. It IS bad ass. Cannot compare to the new 231, but they will play hell beating it.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		The G-231 is a VERY bad ass. So far it provides the best performance of the 23's. The single ring and new piston helps to develope more power with less heat. This allows the engine to run without the added parameter of a engine that has a tendancy to get hot. The porting is pretty darned good as the engine will start very easily and runs nearly flawlessly on a higher oil content than the 23 ever could. The new carbuerettor is very user friendly and tunes much like a YS unit. The motor seems (have not weighed it) to be a good bit lighter.

I have nearly 5 gallons of fuel through mine and it gets sweeter every day. I cannot imagine a better PRODUCTION type gasoline motor than the G-231 is (using a magneto and coil and no reed valve).

My X-Cell Gas Graphite SE has Extreme 3D performance using this engine. This is repeatable performance and the engine pulls just as hard through consecutive manuevers without so much as a bog or cough.
