| F1 Rocket Key Veteran | It works :) (not that I'm surprised) I have my HC3-SX setup and flying in a T-Rex 550. I only have a few flights on it so far but I have tried all of the self leveling modes and they all work very well. One thing that surprised me was how smooth and seamless the recovery modes functioned. The most fun is 'Acro with Pitch". When this mode is activated with a switch the SX will level the machine and add pitch to increase the altitude. If the machine is closer to upright it will level and climb with positive pitch. If the machine is closer to inverted it will level (inverted) and climb with negative pitch. Releasing/turning off the switch restores the machine to normal flight. I had a friend of mine stand next to me while I was flying. I told him too hit the switch any time he wanted as I flew the machine through a normal flight. No matter what I was doing when he hit the switch the machine would just level itself and head for the sky. Another trick is to hit the switch with the machine upright and then pull it inverted. The result is the pitch changes to negative and the machine continues to climb. Now pull it upright and the pitch reverses and it continues to climb. It rthe same with rolls. Big fun Danny | ||

| r.lim Heliman | Does the Self leveling of the HC3-SX works with continous activated? | ||
| 12-08-2010 Over year old. |
| Joachim HC Senior Heliman | Yes, it does. You then override the stabilisation by stick comands, and when letting go off the sticks the heli will get level with the desired speed and accuracy depending on the gain on the Horizon channel.JoachimCAPTRON Electronic GmbH | ||

| F1 Rocket Key Veteran | I'm not Joachim but I have flown the HC-Rigid and HC3-SX. The Horizontal mode in the SX is smoother and there are more tuning features to get the machine to feel the way you want. When flying in the Extended 3D modes the machine feels pretty normal in 3D flight other than self-leveling when the cyclic is neutralized. Also, as with the HC3-X the SX is as good or better than any FBL system available and has a very good tail gyro. No more extra tail gyros as with the HC-Rigid Danny | ||

| max232 Veteran | Danny, I have a couple more questions. would the stock dampers be ok or would i need stiffer ones? also are you using fbl blades or could i just use my Radix? | ||

| Eco8gator Elite Veteran | The old HC 3D is not in the same league as the new extreme and SX. The new fbl systems HC has produced fly extremely well in normal flying mode. The tail is better than any single axis tail gyro Ive tried and is on par with the VBar tail. The cyclic feels really nice and it makes for pretty effortless flying. I look forward to testing out the self correcting mode.Xera Motors | ||
