Smart Cars crash very well despite their size. Worst vehicle you can be in is any body-on-frame vehicle. They lack the engineered crumple zones of a true unibody design and their mass is pointless when you figure odds are you will be colliding with a similar vehicle. I don't need to mention what vehicles are body-on-frame, just suffice it to say you will feel safe in it until you are in a severe crash. Then, if you manage to still have legs and walk, you will never own a body-on-frame vehicle again.

if it makes it stateside sure hope it doesn't find itself in my blind spot or parked directly behind me. I know I wouldn't see it in my rear view over the top of my tailgate.

VW got 90 mpg . . . Ford got 49 mpg

. . . 49 mpg in a Mustang is cooler.

it was on a track, kept in overdrive at the optimum RPM's. I believe it was a stock 6 cyl. just to prove what it COULD do.

Give me a truck or a big SUV that gets 30-40 mpg. Is that asking too much?
