Has anyone heard anymore info on the new 30 size helicopter the Flyus. This was previewed in the new issue of Rotory Modeler. The company I believe is Fly & Technology. Looks like a serious 30 size ship. You've gotta see this thing. And it is supposed to be 2 pounds liter than other popular 30 size machines. Any info or links?

My LHS had a flyer on it about 3 weeks ago. The flyer was real detailed. It had alot of close ups. A rep came and spoke to them about it. Needless to say, I wanted one pretty bad after that. It's made in Korea and the distributer is Sky Technology (something like that). Doesn't it look awesome? I was told that it was under $400 for the kit. Not bad considering it's practically all metal. Wonder how parts availability will be???

Looks different..

Time will tell how it fly's.
I wonder though with all that metal how can it be 2 lbs. lighter than the average "plastic fantastic"?
That would put it at about 6 lbs. RTF with fuel.
If so when do they expect the 50 mount and long boom.

All metal

It kind of reminds me of the TSK.s I had. They were all metal and when they went in the all metal frames usually bent all to hell.
The flybar mounting system looks suited for FAI and contest style flying.
The Fuel tank below the mainshaft will make for a very nice CG.
Interesting to say the least.

I have seen the prototypes fly. They are awesome. It is a fully 3D capable helicopter. Unbelievably smooth for a 30, and yes, it is light, not sure of the weight but it is pretty light. They are made right here in Korea. I had couple of flight pictures of it, I will try to find them and post them. The quality is very good also, I have looked this one over up close.

Two thoughts here:

Lighter isn't always better, especially with a 30 size machine. How often can we not fly our existing 30's because of the wind, yet fly a 50 + size machine.

From the pictures so far, I have got to agree that the frame looks 'lean'. When that one hits the ground, as its certain to do in the hands of a newbie, there ain't going to be much left thats straight!

Just because its a .30 machine doesn't automatically make it a beginner ship. How many beginners ran right out and bought a Shuttle RG? It looks to me like this ship will become a niche ship. Those that want a performance heli without the expense (fuel wise anyway) of a .60+ machine.

Will there be a 50 version?

I Like the landing gear, very few parts.
Like the fuel tank position.
Don't like the carbon boom.
Don't like Eccpm very much.

Nice heli

Real nice setup, only thing I don't like are the struts. Kinda remind me of a 3DNT. If you touch down firmly, there is no "give" and you might bend/break something. Granted this doesn't look like a beginner heli.

Hard on servoe's

It looks like some of the servoe's will take a beating due to direct linkage to the servo arms.

Not again...

What is it with the "bolt on" mainblade grips... Geez you would think if they are going to build some metal grips they would go all the way and CNC the entire block as one unit. That is one thing that just bugs me about some of the metal heads out there. It just looks CHEAP and 8 more bolts to have to check on a regular basis (like every flight.)

One thing I did notice is the overall size of this critter. It is SMALL. Compare that muffler and rx to the frames. Are you guys sure this is a 30 size motor? If so who needs a 50 and I can understand the 2 lb. decrease in weight over the normal 30's.

I would like to see one in person.
