This past weekend i had a castle creations phoenix ICE 80HV esc explode into flame directly underneath my scorpion 4025-630 motor.

the motor is now completely covered coated and filled with a fine black ash/soot/powder.

what can i clean it out with that will not hurt the stator, magnets, windings, bearings.

the first thing i plan on doing is hitting it with compressed air to blast off anything loose but im sure its going to need some attention from a tooth brush or pipe cleaner.

what type of chemicals are safe? contact cleaner, denatured alcohol are the first to come to mind but i just want to be sure so i don't ruin a good motor.

Performance Plus 3. Extremely flammable and you should avoid continuous breathing of vapors. It's an electric motor cleaner.

Dont forget to add a drop of oil to the bearings. The Performance Plus will leave no oil behind!

The Scorpion Lube I have found works well for bearings.
