I learned an important and expensive lesson today. I went to do a flip and noticed it wasn't going right. To top it off, it crashed really bad. I am sitting there wondering what went wrong and figured out the answer was very simple. I forgot to flip the stupid switch!!!!!!! Can't give it negative pitch if not in 3D mode. Repairs about $80 and many hours transferring over to new frame and replacing a few parts.

Sorry about your crash, but if you look around on RR, there are plenty of threads on this. Do it on an expensive machine and you'll never make that mistake again!

once you start on the road of 'acrobatics', you ALWAYS fly in stunt mode; Normal is only for starting and maybe landing

Hate to admit it, but I've done that too. Stupid switch, it's supposed to know when I want to fly inverted!

Yup... I used to bimble around in normal mode too but after having a near disaster I now hit idle up as soon as the heli comes off the ground...

I met Jason Krause today and watched him fly at the expo. He was fantastic and told him about my mistake. He admitted that he has done that a few times in the past as well.
