My Posts This: Topic  Forum		just picked up a used xcell graphite gasser in great condition. has some hanger rash on canopy{ looking to replace it , any body got one for sale? } any way, i noticed some links are worn, and a couple of balls are slightly brownish in color. my question is do i need to use min air balls and links, and if so do you know what part numbers they are? i do not have a manual at present and am looking for one online, also the fine gentleman sent me a new main gear for it as the old one was in sub par shape. i installed the new one, but need to know if any gear adjustment is necessary and if so, how much and how is it done. any tips or suggestions would be most appreciated. thanks in advance

As for the balls and links, I would stick with MA for the balls, but you can get away with others for the links (I use a lot of Rocket City links on mine). For the balls, follow this link:

Gear mesh should be set with a piece of copy paper. I think a match book is a little too thick. Run a strip of paper between the pinion and main gear, squeeze 'em together, and tighten the bearing block. I usually get a little more anal then that by placing a bubble level on the main frame, and one on the clutch bell to insure the clutch shaft is parallel to the main. Make sure you verify that the engine is in the correct position after you're done with the gear alignment.
