My Posts This: Topic Forum | The Cobb County Radio Control Modeler's Club (CCRC) is proud to invite everyone to the 5th annual Smackdown of the South heli fun fly. This years event will be held on 5/22/2010 - 5/23/2010 from 9:00am to 9:00pm.
This year we are also proud to announce the Freestyle 3D Heli School with Todd Bennett and Matt Botos on 5/20/2010-5/21/2010 from 10:00 AM until everyone is burned out or until dark, whichever comes first. The school costs $350 per student and is payable on the first day of the school (5/20/2010), cash is preferable. The first day of class will be to go over everyones' machine and test fly them. There will also be some discussion around the technical side of things. The second day will be spent buddy boxing students, expect 4 to 5 flights per student. This class for the Freestyle 3D Heli School is no longer accepting any new students. Thanks to everyone who registered.
There will be a raffle for a Synergy N5 kit. We will also be having a pig Roast for lunch on 5/22/2010 which is free for all registered pilots. Snacks and drinks will be available throughout the fun fly.
This will be an AMA Sanctioned event (10-1599). You must have current AMA membership to fly and no drinking onsite as this is a county park. The landing fee is $25.00. Sorry, no overnight camping, but there is a good selection of hotels within 10 minutes of the field.
