I have noticed that on my raptor 30 i can move the start shaft up and down. Could this have been causing my problem mentioned in an earlier post?

Just curious so i know where to start when i get the radio back, but i have not sent it yet.

-To help some out, the problem was the pitch servo locking up and not budging(this means i could not move the servo arm even by finger power)

Hi Victor

If the bell is rubbing on the clutch, I am sure it will make a lot radio noise. You shall notice it right the way and not since fall last year.
I remembered that I was helping you out at field when the engine was not running.
I can help you out by switching some of the radio stuffs. If you like, you can call me during the weekend.

Oh thanks so much, i would greatly appreciate that. It's been a big problem and i sure would like to see if it is the crystal but the problem is it hardly happens. I never know when the problem will show up. I think i will send in the radio but i will call you if i think of something that might show up the glitch. Thanks again

Start shaft

If you drop the engine it`s a simple as just pushing up from the bottom of the start shaft and loosening the 2 setscrews on the start coupling. I would loctite them back in making sure they are on the 2 flat spots on the start shaft..while pushing up on the shaft you will need to push down in the coupler as you tighten the setscrews. good luck.
