according to the forum, the Jan 12th date is most likely off by a few days -- supposedly by the end of Jan.

Will all the parts be interchangeable with Align Trex-600E?

from what I am reading on "their" forum -- it is suppose to be 100% compatible with Align :0)

Still no release date spoken, there has been a HK450 V2 released with a 4mm feathering shaft yesterday so I suspect that both the 450 pro clone and the 600 will be out shortly --- I couldnt wait anylonger and bought an Align 600 esp ;0)

Please make some real flying video on youtube on this heli. So far I only see one hovering, and that doesn't speak much for durability in 3D action, like will the head hold at high headspeed

Your talking apples and oranges. The 450's biggest problem ( I had several and still fly one in a scale 450) was the plastic tail drive gear. And guss what ... the Align plastic tail drive gear sucked just as bad.
This thing is all CNC. I'll be using this in a sport scale Huges 500 E so it wont see any 3D. I'll run it through some flips rolls and loops before I mount it. If it will hold up to that then it will work well enough for my application.

I'm looking forward to reading some reviews on this bird also. Looks pretty nice on the web, but a lot can not be said on looks can they?

Wonder how well it would hold up on 10 or 12 cell setup?

That's my point too. For guys that want to build an 8s or up and won't need Align motor/ESC or even want a FBL, this kit is perfect. I'm waiting for some reviews on high headspeed action

rof and the cheap shafts, soft plastic -- or was it soft shafts and cheap plastics lol
subpar links poppingoff,
belts breaking,
main gears stripping,
bad bearings etc

the list goes on and most that have them have replaced with better stuff (not catching me in a vendor war hehehehehe)

You will say none of this happened to you -- then you are one of the fortunate ones -- its all over the forums about these problems -- and yes I own one also -- no not my first bird hehe

----- by the time you get everyting in it -- it aint so cheap ----

to each their own -- I was only reminding people not to jump on the first ship across the ocean -- it may have holes in it lol

I guess till someone actually gets one how would we know about any issues it might have. Although I'm not brave enough to get that close to find out.

That's right, over 100 has been shipped out, so just a matter of time that one of those guys will post their experience. All we need is *one* youtube video of this bird in 3D action and this will go like hot cakes.

Hey, one of you mad 3D guys drop them an email and offer business with them, say you want to promote this and produce the first 3D video of the heli, then list your conditions. Don't go overboard or else they'll say "no thanks, we only make $20 profit for each, can't afford you."

I hear ya -- most of my concern is wear on parts as it is to 1 or 2 hard flights -- I dont think it will blow apart -- but after the thrid flight am I going to have to swap out all the bearings? That kind of stuff -- I hope it does get great reports -- I'll be on the wagon ;0) for a nice "try it with this bird first" machine lol

No I didnt have a problem with it. The one problem I had was the plastic tail drive gear stripping. I replaced it. I guess it depends what your doing with them. I was tossing them into 450 sport scale fuse's. I still have one but replaced the head with a knockoff cnc head for looks. Its been flying for some time now.
As far as the 600 goes I dont see a lot of plastic here. I'll let you know when I get the kit. I'll set it up pod and boom with a 2100 head speed and do some sport flying. Once I know its ready I'll drop the HS down to 1700 and pop it into my Huges 500 E.

My HK 600 arrived today! 1st Impressions, I'm blown away. I cant believe this is a $145 kit. This is ALL CNC and CF. The only plastic I've found was the arm for the tail control and the base plate. This is a clone of the Trex 600 CF. But doesnt have the plastic parts the Trex CF had. The three brearing blocks in the frame are CNC. the entire head is CNC and the tail with the execption of the arm is CNC. I've got other projects on my plate right now but I'll be picking at this and will have it flight ready for spring.
