Nice find Dood thanks. Looks like a very good price as well. I wonder if they address the chaaffing wires issue that the 9303 had. I don't need a radio although my biggest complaint about the 9303 has been addressed. The timer on the the throttle will be a welcomed addition. Chuck

What, No Firmware update capability, No SD Card, No user replaceable antenna, No Telemetry, No Engine Kill switch, No Wireless buddy box capability.

So all you get is A Throttle Timmer Function, a light on the LCD which I haven't needed yet and 20 more models.

They could have at least added an MP3 player.

I won't be upgrading but I will recommend it to someone who does not have a x9303.

Looks nice feature-wise. When do you think their brain-dead mechanical designer is going to realize that 2.4 transmitters don't balance correctly with the same old lanyard lug placement used for years on vhf transmitters????? Yet another generation of transmitters for which an add-on lug device is needed to use a lanyard.

It is essentially JR's base level radio. The 12X is high end, the 11X will be "mid range" and 9503 for base level. Price had to come down.

Even if it is possible, looking at it from a marketing standpoint, they'll probably say you have to buy the new radio. I hope that's not the case, though.

I would guess that upgrading the 9303 would not be possible. The new firmware supports 50 model memory. I'll bet that alone will prohibit the upgrade considering the amount of memory the 9303 has.

If JR would offer the firmware binary publicly I'm sure some smart folks could figure out someway to update the appropriate silicone inside our 9303's to get the timer and additional model memory locations. Though I'm sure that the FW could be pulled from a 9503.

If only JR/HH would officially support this. They should. Those that want the backlit screen will still buy this. It is too bad that they didn't make a new case with the battery at the top. and +1 on Rick_H's comments
