Never had one yet after 6 gallons of fuel.
I think it's very unlikely to happen

Wingtip,

Could you please tell me more about the thrust bearings you have in your machine? I keep hearing about guys replacing the radial bearings in the Fury, but I haven't received any real details yet. Pictures would be great if you have any, or know where I could find some.

Thanks,
Chad

Build it, fly it, crash it. Repeat as often as needed.

Flameouts, a few. So far I've gotten out of all of the in one piece. Oh great, now I've jinxed myself.

Wingtip,

Do you have any for the SE?

I had a flameout a couple of IRCHA's ago on an Intrepid that I had bought just a couple of hours prior after installing my trusty YS61ST and all me electronis into it. Nose-in inverted in front of two million people I don't know (did I mention I was nervous anyway?) and the engine died on me. I did a half loop (now that I know better, I do a half roll, uses less head speed) and managed a tail first auto at my feet.

All the time, I was thinking, when I get home, my wife's gonna ask to see the new heli, and all I have to show her was a bag of mangled parts - I lucked out that time!

The more I practice autos, the less of a big deal flameouts are. Of course, there's always those high cyclic maneuvers that bog the engine down - if your engine dies then, your head speed goes to 300 rpm in 0.8 sec.!!!
