Try the 4 point Futaba arm instead of the 6 point, they are a bit longer.

Forgotten how to hover!

No games required, raptortechnique's priniple is correct!!

Thomas's wasn't. ' watch the video carefully'

But it still can be improved on, with the servo the right way round, and the correct lenght arm, we can make the best out of a non linear set-up.

The link I provided to RaptorTechnique shows the servo mounted with the splines to the rear and the arm pointing forward. This is so it forms a parallelagram, thus providing a more linear movement. This is different from what is shown on myraptor.net.

This was a topic of discussion a few weeks ago.

well their is a good reason to why i cant set mine up like RaptorTechnique suggest .

metal pitch arms are shorter then the oem raptor pitch arm
and it needs a 90degree angle because its special

It is still offset.
Why do you ask for help but not listen?
IF you remove the servo, flip it over, then reinstall it facing the other way, that arm you are using will now line up much better.

Whatever, here we go, ive stuck some red lines on your pic!!
Get those two lines at 90 degrees @ 0 degrees pitch.!!

That's good geometry. i couldnt give a toss what anyone else argues.

I know im right

The metal pitch arm only has the 3D connection, whereas the original part has that and a 'beginner' position. Out of curiosity, what is the distance from the pivot to the center of the control ball on yours? It's approx 85.7mm on the original Raptor.

I dont believe in 'editing' post's so im making mine crystal clear.

The link from servo arm must be 90 degrees to the bottom red line.
And the link from the pitch cradle must be 90 degrees to the top red line.

There is always a way of 'frigging' and 'shuffling' to get it.!!

If I were you, I'd ditch that metal pitch arm and use the original. Actually, when I bought my second Raptor, it came with the metal arm and I ditched it.

In the long run, you'll get better geometry and a more linear throw, with less work on the servo.

i think i got it
hold on

im reading raptortech its making since now.

i see i had got caught in bettween 2 arguements lol raptortech
and myraptor.net

i did it raptortechs way because seems like he makes since
the only other way i can alter the rod more to the center would be to
move it in a couple hopes and adjust the end points but then the servo arm will not be at 90 and right now im getting -10 to +10 travel
as you can see in the new video.

Some like to do the opposite because it puts the link straight up/down when centered however while that 'looks better' it is not. If done that way it causes bad geometry as the servo and pitch arm move throughout the range. It produces an effect that is opposite of expo, meaning the movement gets slower the further from center that the stick is moved. This is because with this bad geometry the servo arm and the pitch arm go in opposite directions relative to front/back of the helicopter.

hope im pretty close in my understanding , bought since is better then told since and boy im tired 5 hrs on this and for sure ill be able to help someone else with this problem oneday.
tired but feelin good i learned soomething

geez lol both ways make since lmao this some kinda learning joke spent 6 hrs with this prank lol thanks guys ive learned alot
ill figure out something good i guess.

that was a tough one thoe tech may be right with the rod straight up and down it might make it feel like has to sensative of expo

2 points for raptortech

1 point for the nice look of the straight rod setup looks fast and maybe to fast guess we will have to play with it,

Good job

I'm with you. The setup on Raptortechnique makes much more sense than myRaptor.net. Nice and smooth linear movement!
