Is velcro tape better than double sided tape for mounting/securing rx? Does velcro tape help better in reducing vibration?

Velcro will reduce vibration more than tape. Don't forget to use a strap across velcro mounted components "just to be sure".

I use the 3M "Scotch" branded double-sided tape, it's gray with red peel back, available for $3 at your local hardware store, best stuff around for "hard mounting" and it's fuel and temperature proof (some tape will loosen as nitro soaks in or weaken when the temperature changes).

With this tape you don't even need a velcro strap, it just ain't coming loose.

Remember to always prep both surfaces by cleaning with denatured alcohol.

Success with adhesives is 80% surface prep, 20% adhesive selection.

I have been using the blue gel stuff from Align http://www.readyheli.com/K10457A_Al...l_p/k10457a.htm

Pretty darn strong and very easy to clean up when you need to remove.
