I have set the limits and the gear ratio right and i'm using a Stator Gator but when i get my wife to tach it ,it's way off from what i have set. I set sr1 to off but it still acts likes its coming on anyway i set sr2 to 1697 rpms but when my wife tachs it it's reading 1840 and normal is taching 1790 and i have my thr curve set so it should not be near that high. Should i set the limits with a straight thr curve? I set it to what i had set for normal mode. I bought the GV1 used do you think it could be that or do you think my battery in my tach is low or something? I set the Gear ratio to 7.08 my main gear is 92 teeth and my pinion is 13 teeth. What i'm i doing wrong? Please help?

Thanks for ANY help
Ivan

...you can always compare the GV1 display with the tach .. take off the blades for safety and run the engine / tach and compare with the GV1 reading...so long as you can see it safely..

Be careful, you shouldn’t run the motor without loading so keep it at a very low rpm; will your taco see the paddles to get a reading?

I only like to fly gassed up

Gear ratio?

Maybe your gear ratio is set wrong? Count the teeth and make sure you have 92/13 or 93/13. One is 7.15 the other is 7.08 depending on how recent the kit was made.

Well i just counted the teeth again and it does have 92 main gear teeth and 13 pinion teeth. I got the heli in i think March 09. I will try letting it idle and looking on the GV1 screen. I do have a override off switch set also i will turn it to off and try it. On the last hover yesturday when i flipped to idle1 it hovered good for an minute then it acted like it wanted to lose a little power so i stopped with it. I need to look at the plug. I have plenty of oil blowing out the muffler but i don't know how the plug looks.

Thanks for the help i will try it and see what i find.
