My Posts This: Topic Forum | none - push the starter shaft up and the starter coupler down when tightening. Don't want it dragging on the bearings but no play either. I've never seen it affected by cold but then again I don't fly in AK 
Here's a trick for tightening down the starter coupler without removing the collective tray, drill a hole in the collective tray
