Though the WC should in theory be a bit smoother with the absence of the crank web, they are functionally about the same WRT smoothness. The removal of the rear web was done to improve bearing life, which was rather unfortunate in the initial SX-H. As noted, the other major change was in the carb, especially the midrange metering.

And thanks for your reply, so I guess it really does not matter which crank I use. I am wondering if the crank that I have in the WC (which I just got used) is really a WC crank. It looks an awful lot like a 70 crank.
