Hi Guys,

This is my first build and I have a question about the Align Gov. How can I set up the headspeed using the FUTABA 7c radio?

Is this Gov good or should I buy the GV1? Thx

I think the governor's great! I've been using mine with my 7c for a long time now, no complaints whatsoever. As far as setup there's nothing really un-ordinary about it. My menu settings are as follows:

UP: 0% (I don't like for normal to be governed)
CT: 79%
DN: 83%
MIX: ON
SW: G
DIR: +LIMIT^

I got the speed setting from someone else offline who claims that will put you around 1900 rpm at idle1 and 2100 at idle2. I've never tached this so I can't testify to it, but it runs great and all the guys I fly with say it sounds perfectly normal.

If your going to get a new governor get the multigov pro,you set the headspeed thru the display so you dont have to tach it!!!

i had the align governor and it really does not hold the rpm very good, get a rpm limiter instead ,like the rev max

So, let see if i got this right.

UP: 0% = I would like my normal around 1650. what % should I use?
CT: 79% = 1900 idle 1
DN: 83% = 2100 idel 2

A rev limiter is great if you aren't doing any hard 3d, but I take it you already have the align anyway. One thing I've always wondered is if you set your throttle curve to flat 100 and then set your head speed, if a rev limiter would work like a governor. This is irrelevant, and probably not the best of ideas anyways.

Best of luck with the align gov, and let me know what you get if you ever tach it.
