You typically don't hear anything from mikado until a few weeks before they release it.
And with all the interest in electric .90's lately, it'd be hard to believe that they're not up to something...

I was talking to "a reiable source" (), at a recent fun-fly, that said Mikado is currently working on a design for a 700, and it will be different from the L500 & L600. Totally new heli is the way it sounds. He couldn't really give any details though, but he did say it's being worked on.

Mmmmmm, 12S!

The less a man makes a clarative statement, the less likely he is to look like a fool in retrospect.

Toy fair in Nürnberg/Germany will tell.
So around 3 months till news will hit the market.
There is also rumour that Mikado bring a BO 105 with 1.80m rotor diameter which is able to fly acrobatically, sort of a fun-Scale machine...

Cool, bring it on!

My logo 700 smashed on the weekend, belt broke after about 200 flights, hit the deck, lipo blew up etc.
Bring on the TT!

change belt

Helicraze, you should change those belts at 150 flights they don't last much longer than that.

Any tell-tale signs of a worn belt?

I'm at 600+ flights on my original 500 belt.

belt

Zguy, thats great I think 500 has a diffrent type of belt my 600 after 150 flights started to loose teeth, maybe they need the same type for the 600.

Belts and preventative maintenance

Just to add to the discussion, our experience has been that the Logo 600 belts will usually go to 150 flights or so, but 200 is usually not the case. And it seems like once you find a tooth missing during an inspection, it won't be long before more will start to shed.

The 500 belts usually last longer. Several hundred flights for sure.

Because a failed tail rotor (for whatever reason) is usually pretty fatal, we've taken on the philosophy that early preventative maintenance is the way to go.

About the only things that ever needs attention on Logos, are the belts, head dampeners, head thrust bearings, and the auto rotation one-way bearing needs lubed every so often. So I've taken to just doing all four as soon after every 100 flights as is convenient.

Yes, it cost some to do this. But if it saves one crash along the way, your still money ahead for years to come (-:

I don't think that's a 700 prototype on the laptop. Actually it looks like one of the 3 BO 105's they built last winter. There's a buildthread at the vstabi homepage: http://www.vstabi.de/forum1/read.php?10,25374

Does anybody know what's up with https://sdp-si.com/eStore/

I've ordered two 770XL belts for a Logo 700 a week ago but the current status is always "in process" no shipping, no reply on emails etc. The shop showed that the belt was and currently is in stock.

Last time I ordered they shipped very fast.
