My Posts This: Topic Forum | Belts and preventative maintenanceJust to add to the discussion, our experience has been that the Logo 600 belts will usually go to 150 flights or so, but 200 is usually not the case. And it seems like once you find a tooth missing during an inspection, it won't be long before more will start to shed.
The 500 belts usually last longer. Several hundred flights for sure.
Because a failed tail rotor (for whatever reason) is usually pretty fatal, we've taken on the philosophy that early preventative maintenance is the way to go.
About the only things that ever needs attention on Logos, are the belts, head dampeners, head thrust bearings, and the auto rotation one-way bearing needs lubed every so often. So I've taken to just doing all four as soon after every 100 flights as is convenient.
Yes, it cost some to do this. But if it saves one crash along the way, your still money ahead for years to come (-:
