If my head speed is over 1800 rpm there is no wobble but when the head speed drops below 1800 it starts wobbling bad. The head fitted loose on the main shaft so I cranked down the jesus bolt to get rid of the slop. I can find anything else loose. The heli only has 4 flights on it. The blade tracking is good. Has anyone else have this problem and solved it.

If you are running the 3D (black) dampeners that is normal. Stiffer dampeners raise the headspeed where you will get an oscillation. The red dampeners it would happen at a much lower headspeed. Nothing to worry about.

I have the hard dampeners in my TREX 600N and know what that looks like. Its more of a shake. This is a wobble. It really looks bad when people standing back and watching ask what wrong. I check everything again last night and found the jesus bolt was losse. I read a fix online about cutting the slot deeper in the head. When I installed the jesus bolt I did not have to crank down on it to get the head tight on the shaft. I did the fix last night and I will give an update next time I fly it. I hope Outrage is working on this. I found a few hits about this problem.

As was mentioned turn up the headspeed to at least 1875 for a few flights until the dampers and spindle seat, we had the same problem running a MultiGov Pro, initial flight after the build I had the HS in Nor set to 1850 and had exactly what you are reporting, landed reset normal HS to 1875 and problem immeadiatly went awasy on the first flight. The black dampers are hard and take a few flights to settle in, shouln't be anything to worry about but you will need to bump the HS up a bit in nor for the first couple of flights.

The head fitted loose on the main shaft so

I had the same problem with a new one i picked up and built at IRCHA. On mine you could feel it and see it move the head pins in the washout block. I showed it to and asked Charley about it and he immediately give me a new replacement and it fit like it should. Regardless of cranking the jesus bolt tight you are still going to have some movement in it when up to speed. The bolt can't take out all the slop, only where the bolt, head block and main shaft meet.

I had the same wobble, but mine is a little different.

When I put in a new style main shaft new out of the bag (hollow all the way through and no flat in the shaft) with the new style clamping collar, I get little wobbling in normal mode. When I am in idle up (1900-2000) the wobble gets much worse.

When I put in the old style shaft (flats machined in the shaft and the old style collar with 2 setscrews), I get the normal low speed wobble and in idle up the shaking is gone. all else exactly the same.

I am using the KBDD Orange extra hard dampers. The same type dampers in my 600N didn't have this high headspeed wobble.

No binding, I tried new curtis blades, tried switching from KBDD paddles to the Align paddles from my 600N thinking something was off but it wasn't. Checked all instances that hte Jesus bolt was tight, nothing is bent and everything is smooth.

Also, I notice with the old style shaft when I go inverted, I get a little wobble as well.

Think the KBDD orange dampers are too hard?

The KBDD Orange dampers are ~100 durometer.

It's odd that only a change of the main shaft and collar would give differing results.

I haven't tried the other NIB shaft or switching out to the stock black Outrage dampers or softer KBDD Yellow "Hard" dampers.

I'll measure my shafts as well as the ID of the headblock.
I may try the tip HC sugggested in another thread to cut the headblock slots a little longer so the block will pinch the main shaft a bit more.

Let me know your thoughts.

Update:
I tried cutting the slots so the total length is twice the orignal length. This let the block pinch more on the main shaft.
Well, at 1750 I get the normal expected wobble, at 1900 the wobble seems to go away (before cutting it was wobbling at this headspeed), but at 2100 the wobble comes back.

I may just go ahead and try another headblock.

I only have about 5 flights on the KBDD orange dampeners.
You think they are just not broken in yet?

That's how I have broken in kbdd dampeners and true bloods

But the 10 to 15 flights in needs to be really thrown around
And it will come out.

The anwser is yes, I really really! Think this is the only problem, just fly the heck out of them.

*Update Wobbling solved*

I just came back from flying and I think I have the wobbles solved.

I ordered a new headblock and put in the 80 durometer black dampeners.
The new headblock clearly has a longer slot in it (the slot goes above the Jesus bolt hole, the old one was below the hole), longer pins than my old block and had a tigher fit on the mainshaft.
I still get a tiny wobble, but this is due to the engine still running rich and not getting to my target headspeed for these dampeners. I'll have it tached tomorrow.

When I wear out the 80 durometer dampeners, I'll try the orange KBDD dampeners and break them in as suggested previously.

I have it all on intermediate settings and it flat out ROCKS!!
It's faster than I expected, especially in tic-tocs! This is all with a regullar hyper 50, I can't imagine it with the 55 or 57!!

Thanks again for everyone for your help and everyone on Team Outrage that posted or replied to PM's!
