I guess at $4 per motor, having a few extras is no big deal.

Easy to change too.

But that were my last two motors. Before it was awful. Very short life. If I only can remember where I took them. Motors have thin cover of silver material, like alum foam. It is written there that they are 'high performance'.

Sorry Doug. It is winter time and Esky does not make 'winter' helis.
Time for break. Winter break. I do fly 'Lil Be' though on dayly basis, even when it is dark (I fly inside), but looks like nobody is interested in HBKs any more, at least on Esky forum.
And I think of winter project to upgrade HBK even more. It should cost another $100-130. But I got used upgrading and twiking HBK to make it perfect...

Time for the big Esky can Doug? Well, my HBK2 finally flies great even with the bent spindle. But who cares? Other than me that is.

You know Gregg - I do care. I am always interested in good findings for HBK.

Btw, I treat winter retreat as good thing. Flying small helis is more complicated then big ones. To maintain steady slow movement in desired direction is more complicated, piloting these tiny ones. Last winter I spent learning hovering inside, so in spring I could start to learn flying. Now I started to fly. It is definitely not perfect, even in upright - and I want to spent this winter in polishing steady movement in desired direction, flying around home obstacles and maintaining constant speed or desired speed flying desired side forward (backward, sideward, etc.). I definitely cannot do this with HBK at home. Any other indoor flying is practically not available for me.

That's why I started talking about sub-micro helis. And my 4#3 was essentially saved by MMike and I thanked him.

No Doug, you should not apologize. You are actually right, that this is Esky forum. And due to having respect to people who created this forum (and RR as well), I think it is not much appropriate to create topics not related to Esky stuff. RR has place where to talk of other helis or something else. Additionally people who start to deal with Esky should have a place to go and ask a question. If they see topics devoted to sub-micro, they may be confused and go somewhere else or will be on their own. Neither is good.

I will try to keep my stuff on this forum develoted to Esky and HBK in particular.

Once again, I understand your confusion and you should not apologize, because in fact, you are right.

So . . . Maybe we all need to write letters to Esky, and pressure them into producing a CB100 or CB180 equivalent heli!
I'd buy 'em!

Helicopters don't fly, they beat the air into submission.

I need advice as to what to do...

My next indoor move: Let's say I'm spending $150: Heli only, no TX

Option 1. Buy an MSR

Option 2. Buy a 4#3 brushless

I don't like brushed motors.

The brushless system I had on the Novus FP was too heavy.
It stressed the tail / gyro / motor /control.

The MSR is brushed.

What to do...
