My Posts This: Topic  Forum		Has anyone had a problem with the charge getting worse the more you use the radio? When i first got my 12Z it would stay charged for 4 1/2 hours before it go to 19% now it seems like is only hour or two at the most. I even bought a brand new futaba battery and it runs down in about the same time as the old battery. I don't under stand it? Alot of the airplane guys i fly with are having to charge there batterys alot more than they did before. Anyone have any ideas?

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		How long have you had the battery? If you have someone else who has the same battery try their charger maybe it is bad.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		The Futaba original batteries aren't that great. Run it down until the 12Z beeps at you and charge it a few times (or deep cycle to 6 volts if you have the equipment). Or get a new Sony NP-F570. Charging up to the 100% voltage and not having much capacity is the typical failure mode of this type of battery. The 100% is only a direct voltage conversion and doesn't indicate capacity unless the battery is in good condition.
