Hi

After 5 years flying Rappies and Trex, I finally get to fly a MA product. A local dealer here in Norway asked if I wanted to fly the Stratus. Of course I said Yes! I can't wait to start building this thing.

Just wanted to say "hi" and prepare you guys for some stupid questions when I get this heli. I should have the kit in about 1 week.
Can't wait

Congratulations. We in the north salute you!

You will be SO satisfied if you build your machine according to your manual.
A Stratus is a fantastic machine. As engine I recomend the YS 91SR.

Canopy

I need a canopy for this heli
Thinking about a Canomod Phantom since I already have this on my Trex700

Anybody with pictures of Stratus with a canomod canopy?

I'm thinking the Canomod Pusio looks like a good canopy for my MA heli. The price is right as well. It seems you're thinking the same.

It would be nice if someone could post some pictures and a short review of the Canomod canopies.

prepare you guys for some stupid questions
There is no stupid questions just ask!

For your and others information: on the other forum (HH) there is a tropic in the top of the MA glow section, called Bobby Watts Special Stratus Build, where there is some good videobuilding stuff!

On the HH forum, in the "Finless Bob's Helifreak Tech Room" there also is a tropic called MA Stratus 'Bobby Watts Special' build videos

Another Tip, to aviod vibration:
- Dial the fan good!
- Loosen the engine baseplate, hover the heli, land the heli, lift i straight up (without twisting the frames, and tighten the baseplate again. With that procedure the engine will align very good!

Wow, guys.
Got my kit a couple of days ago and am well in to the built.
A lot of parts in this kit. I am really impressed with the quality of things! Something else than the TT and Align helis I have built up to this point. Can't wait to fly this thing. I hope if flys as good as she looks. But I am enjoying each step of making my new bird ready for flight

i would suggest at any point something does not look like it does in the manual, ask on the forum or MA. Sometimes the instructions are not up to date or slightly different from the parts you have in your kit. I had this issue a couple of times but a quick ask on RR/HF and problem resolved. (MA can improve in this small area)

That said, best damned helicopter i have ever owned, got well over 1000 flights on my current one without crashing and still feels as new as the day i maidened it. Not comparable to Align/TT at all as far as i am concerned.

Pars.

Thanks Parsifal

Yes, I noticed that there were several differences compared to the manual provided with the kit.
I am using the build videos on the other forum, and so far this has answered all my questions. But I bet there will be some questions here soon

As engine I recomend the YS 91SR.

I recommend this as the best source of power for a Stratus.

As for the Canopy, this one is by AceHelis. It is kind of plane but is very visible.

I know you will enjoy your Stratus, after all it's a MA heli.

I thinks so too
Looks like I also get to test the Furion 450!
I am excited to compare my 90 and 450 size Align helis to the MA ones

By the way, anybody tried flybarless on their Stratus?

I've got FBL on my Spectra. It's a pretty easy conversion with the Tempest head.

I'm pretty sure MrMel has a FBL Stratus.
