Depends on the paint and the blades. The stock Esky blades are covered with plastic coating. Some paints might cause this to deteriorate. If I were paiting, I think I'd start with the Align woodies and gently sand them to give something the paint to stick too. The Align coating is very well adhered to the wood, that it will make a great primer.

What did you have in mind? A new project perhaps?

well I bought a couple sets of the fiberglass main blades from xheli. and they came white and I thought that If I could paint them that they would match the paddles and tail blade better. but if it works it might contribute to another project.

I have painted some old SAB fiberglass blades with red Plastic Krylon and it worked good.
I also painted the bottoms of some cheap Hobby City fiberglass blades as well.

I like you plan to paint some of those white Xheli blades (Pro 3D) with something on the top to make them stand out more.

Lightly sand the finish where you are going to paint with fine sandpaper. Then apply several thin light coats. Then rebalance after checking your CG. I recall the plastic Krylon does best with thin coats spaced like an hour or less apart or something like that. Read the label.

I just stick monocote on tips if blades are black - cheap and fast and easy. Even better on paddles - at least paddles survive better in crash and it is enough to see rotor.

And painted blades are like new canopy - well, you know what I mean.
