Niether. I like my Knight 600E, thank you very much. Care to give us a bit more background here? There's pros and cons to each, but if I had to do it over I wouldn't get another Esky. 2 years and hundreds of dollars later my HBK2 flies pretty good.

I had a Belt CP and a HBK2. HBK2 tracking sucked till I put a copterx head conversion on it (a pain). DougsRC reports the HBK3 has good tracking. But it's still kinda hot.

Unless your warehouse is really big, maybe you should look at an Eflite MSR or Walkera CB100? That is the choice I"m going through right now as I have a warehouse I can fly in right now on Mondays and Fridays.

Last year, I was flying a coax and a gaui EP100 in my warehouse.

For the warehouse, Melnic is right. Both will be large for that space. Depending how good your precision flying skills are, the HBK3 might work for you. I use one in my backard and don't use up much more than 40X30. If you have a radio already, you can save some money and get a better flying machine with the model with a radio from Jags.

HBK is pretty good parking lot flyer that don't need to deal with little screws in narrow place for fixing.

Looking at your profile, I see that you are flying for roughly two years. With this experience, I would say that the best heli for the winter and tight space would be 4G6. And it has HH gyro, so it holds steady tail (some fixes (small ones) are required). If you want 3D, motor should be upgraded - two possibilities exist. Also, FP helis definitely fly different then CP and you fly CP as I see.

It is a bit big for the living room, unless you like precision flying.
Though, I fly it up to 8s, but I am nervous doing this for now.

As for HBK, I keep flying it now in a space roughly 9x8 meters up to piro circles. At least your skills in precision flying will be pretty good. No flips though - height is 4 meters and I have psychological barrier doing this.

PS. Oh I saw your budget requirement ($200) - looks like 4G6 will not fit there, because it requires Tx from Walkera, unless you will be in 'spectrumizing' heli, which is not easy and probably does not make much sense, because looks like expenses and weight gain will be more in price then Walkera Tx, which is quite decent.

a friend of mine is selling me his for 1/2 of what he paid for this summer and just thinking about it. I never had a esky or wakera product. The price and upkeep seam cheap but if these things are no good and i am always fixing them all the time then i would had paid the same price as a trex 450 which i had and know.

I can say just from my experience.

I fly Walkera 4#3A and 4G6 with the following upgrades:
4#3A - installed Bell-Hiller from Xtreme. This is not required at all, it just makes it way more agile, but this is FP.

4G6 - glued tail slider by a tiny bit of CA - not reqired, but highly desirable. Soldered motor directly to ESC - better HS, but hotter motor. Motor bogs on punches and flips have to be 'soft', not overloading motor. I plan to install new motor ($45). Factory reports that it will work 90% of cases with stock ESC. If it will not work, then I need to carry additional expenses as another motor and another ESC, which should be modified. Oh and good idea to install plastic head, due to weight savings, not required though.

Not that motor change is required, but stock one is hot and weak for 3D and punches.

Both are quite twitchy and require careful setup - balancing, etc.
Relatively cheap in support. Roughly:
Blades - $5
Shaft - $4
Battery - $10 - best battery, even less really.

Overall I am happy with Walkera small helis. Not everybody are happy though. 4#3 can go through brushed motors quite fast. It depends how lucky you are. Some motors lasted for me 10 flights, some significantly more. Looks like latest generation is quite good or maybe I just got good batch. Motor is $5.

Walkera CB100 is reported to be more stable, although 4#3 is stable as well being tuned (not modded, but tuned). Fast for sure, due to size, but hovers stable. (I was never believed in this even on this forum, despite videos).

HBK2: I kept modifying it and now it is a monster, very powerful and agile. For sure less stable than 450 class. Looks to me, that only Doug can fly stock HBK3 (correct me if I am wrong). All others, looks like, went through mod stage and people on this forum are not generally happy with stock HBK2 (at least I got that impression).

I personally like HBK2 due to it's size. Maybe I liked 250 size more, but I never tried, so cannot say.

Overall, looks like I have tendency to small helis, due to flying space required. Just grab and go.

Trex 450 for sure has better support in parts, bigger, thus more stable, but requires more space. I do not have Trex 450, but I have other 450 models.

I do like the King 3 and swore to myself I would leave it completely stock and just "Fly the Hell out of it" No upgrades. So far the only upgrade was putting on an 11 tooth pinion( stock is 10 th.)
So far I like it EXCEPT---- the stock gyro really does suck it holds to some degree but will wag like crazy sometime and sometimes not

My buddy Ken got the Belt CPV2 and we flew that thing right out of the box as well, had to tighten the belt a little but it is even smoother than the King 3. So far he has only stripped a maingear on it. He also owns a TREX se, which he has spent more money on than any other heli--some due to crashes, some due to a Demon that lives inside that paticular heli He also has a TREX pro which is a VERY nice flying heli- very precise and tough- except the torque tubes(don't let the tail blades hit the ground)

I like flying junk heli's but my path is NOT for everyone, one mans junk is another mans treasure, but in summery seeing that the Belt and King are the same price I think you get more for your money and a better flyer with the Belt V2. Just my 2 pennies.

Roger, if you've had a Trex before you might be dissapointed by the Esky experience. As long as you remember that you are not getting (or paying for) Align, you'll be fine. Be patient, compared to an Align, the Esky may require more tweaking.

When I got the T500 after a year with the HBK2, the jump in quality was shocking and Align isn't even top of the line. The T500 went together perfectly the first time and has required almost zero tuning.

It seems like the most dissatified Esky owners are those that expect to get a Trex for the cost of an Esky.

Rodger, I have both a t-rex 450 clone and a belt cp my belt cp started acting funny one day and I could never figure it out. so I built a new t-rex 450 clone to learn on and I can't believe the difference. the clone hovers much more stable I have a set of 335mm main blades on it right now and I really like it. I also got my belt cp working again and I can't control it near as good as I can my t-rex 450 when I try to hover the belt cp it's all over the place and not under my control. but i can hover the t-rex in one place pretty good and actually like the rex better than the belt cp. so I think that if I were you I would skip the esky.

esky belt cp 450, just built exi 450 LE

Iceman, are running the same throttle curve on the Belt and the Trex clone? Too low a headspeed will give you a less precise, wondering heli.
