I've just joined rr in search of some answers to the irritating/frustrating glitch that occurrs in my blade cp pro at 3/4 throttle and above.I've read through some of the comments about the blade but I havent found any that describe my condition. The heli is unflyable above 1/2 throttle, all 3 servos glitch bad.Ive exhausted most everything I can think of,new servos, main motor, tail motor, swapped receiver,3 in 1 unit, crystals, transmitter, removed carbonfiber tail boom and reinstalled factory boom, twisted tail motor wires, grounded tail boom and frame to neg side of battery, new capacitors on main and tail motors, added larger capacitors[27uf,47uf,100uf],it's possible that there was something wrong with 2nd transmitter[used e-flite that i borrowed].I really have no way of testing the transmitter. If someone has an answer I would be most appceciative.
ps. I read something about making your own blades, where do you get supplies and how do you fabricate them. Also read about using a futaba radio with this heli.I have a 9chp. Whats involved in setting it up to use with my futaba radio. thanks

You indicate crystals. This tells me you are flying the CP Pro Version 1. You seem to have gone over a lot of stuff. I am thinking that the Potentiometers in the transmitter may be bad. I had this in 2 of my 72mhz transmitters. I might try unplugging the tail and main motors from the on-board radio. This will keep them from spinning. Then power up the heli and move the left stick. Watch the servos and see if the arms jump around. If the servos are bad I'd think you will see it in the right and left stick when you move Aileron and Elevator (cyclic) or throttle & (collective).

If you are very into this heli you should eventually upgrade to a 2.4mhz. I fly the Spektrum Dx7. The stock 72mhz has many glitches to begin with. I don't think this is your problem though. Let us know what you find.

cp pro v 1 glitch

Thanks for your response,I did borrow a friends transmitter and had the same problem. I did notice that when the glitching starts I see arcing on the brushes in the main motor.Thats why I tried using capacitors on the motors. The arcing was less, but the glitch is still there.with the motors dissconnected I have no glitch in the servos, thats why I assumed it was emi from the motor/motors.I do have a soft spot for this heli because I can fly it right behind my house without my neighbors even knowing i'm there.I do have two 30 size nitro birds but this one gets me more stick time without having to drive to the airfield.I thought about putting in a brushless motor and new speed control but don't you still need the 3 in 1 unit for the tail motor? I know the cp pro is no t-rex,it's a relatively cheap heli. It's just very frustrating when you've done so much and still have'nt accomplished squat. If anyone else you know, or out there in cyberspace, has any other suggestions i'm all ears. thanks again

This is cool! I think we have another of the last Cp Pro diehards here. You may just find what you like here on RunRyer then.
Yes there is a small bunch of guys on here that have been tinkering with the CPP. I am one too but have only checked in here when I read about new advances from their hard work on their CPP's.I don't want to take their credit here.

In short, the current set up for the CPP by capable pilots has ended up to be something like this;
2.4 Tx Dx6i or Dx7
Brushless Direct drive motor on the tial
Thunderbird9 esc for the tial motor
Brushless main motor. Various kinds
25amp or so main esc
Ar6100 Receiver or equivalent receiver.
The stock transmitter 72mhz does have its hic-ups or glitches. A 2.4 spektrum does eliminate those. I use the Dx7. The computer abilities in the radio are imperative to poper setup and smoth flying. In my opinion. The Brushless direct drive tail reffers to the prop being pressed on the tail motors shaft. No gears. this has been mainstream for the CPP for quite some time and yields much better control. The 2n1 can be done away with completely. Your heli components will end up being 2motors, 2 esc, 1 receiver, and the standard is a Futaba 401 gyro.

The best part is you know this. In my opinion this heli will never be a trex, but it is still fun.

I'll let you think about this. If you are interested in upgrading I will give you all the details I can. Others on here are just as helpful.

On that arc issue. That's a problem and you know. Not sure why it's happening but a brushless main would cure that I'm sure.

You will find a lot in the first link here.

cp pro v1 glitch

thanks for all the info, looks like if i want to keep flying[or better stated,be able to fly again] i need to invest in a brushless setup.the seperates article i found very interesting.with that setup i could use my futba 9chp and have much more adjustability in the programming.looks like the tail motor setup could be a bit tricky though.thanks again, and i'll let you know how i make out. i look forward to further chats in the future. this website is an awsome discovery.

Very supportiive too. There seems to be help on here no matter what your looking for. Just chime in for help. Mitchilito and BobWho? are currently helping me dial-in my tail motor as we speak. I think I will have it down soon.
