My Posts This: Topic  Forum		I have the new 450 sport and was wondering if there is a best way to mount the gyro. I see some facing forwards and others backwards. I see them right side up and others upside down. Does it make a difference or is it personal preference?

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		I have the 450 se v2 I mount my 401 upside down.
As long as you mount it on the provide shelf you should be ok. Right side up or upside down is fine. I'd keep the face of the gyro facing up or down.

I believe if you mount the gyro with the face, facing forward or backward it won't work. I have never seen any mounted this way. The instructions will confirm this.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		It can be mounted upside down, or right side up. As long as a line through the center of the top and bottom is vertical and parallel to the mainshaft, it will work just fine. There are no other mounting position constraints as long as you mount it as described.

Flipping it from right side up to upside down (or vice versa) you will have to change the position of the REV/NOR switch.
