My Posts This: Topic  Forum		Hi Hamed, I do not have an answer to your question..but I think that it is not only a matter of direct relation between HP and weight, there must be some importance even in the rotor disc (size, blade profile ecc.) those factors can vary the power need for a given weight.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		keep in mind the 50-70 watts per pound is a number for electrics. IC engines do not have the same torque curve as electrics. Remember, HP is a function of RPM and Torque.



Where:

P = Power, hp
N = Rotational shaft speed, rpm
T = Torque, lb-ft

Better to correlate aircraft gross weight with rotor blade disc diameter.
